I just wasted 4 hours of my life that I will never get back. I don't even know where to begin. We just lost to the St. Louis Rams! We just let a baby face rookie QB and a no name RB tear through our defense like Haynesworth's fork at an all you can eat pancake special at IHOP. Enough is ENOUGH! This 3-4 experiment needs to end NOW!

We've been a top 10 defense 8 out of the past 10 years. Why change the one thing this team had working for it? Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that Jim Zorn and our swinging gate offense is long gone but at least Zorn managed to beat the Rams!

Shanahan or Bruce Allen need to step in and fix Deang... I mean Jim Haslett's defense.

May heaven have mercy on the Redskins next week when they face Vick and the Beagles.

This is the week we talk about the 87 replacement players beating a veteran laden Cowboy team in Dallas on Monday night.

This is the week we talk about the hit LaVar Arrington put on Troy Aikman to end his career.

This is the week we talk about the "Monday Night Miracle" when Mark Brunell threw 2 amazing passes to Santana Moss late in the 4th to bring the team back from a 13 point deficit to win the game.

This is the week we talk about Troy Vincent blocking a possible game winning Dallas field goal and Sean Taylor scooping it up and returning it giving Nick Novak a 2nd chance to win the game, Dallas 19 - Redskins 22.

I don't know about you but I HATE the Dallas Cowboys and their fans and I HATE the fact that our team owner is sharing a Papa John's pizza with the Devil. This is the GREATEST Rivalry in all of sports and it's time Benedict Snyder realized it and stops Sleeping with the Enemy!

Well we know the final roster, how did Brandon " Speedy Smurf with butter fingers" Banks make it and Terrance Austin didn't? I hope this staff can be trusted to evaluate talent for present and future. The Albert Haynesworth saga continues to a degree, speculation of not trying in last preseason game and may not be active for Dallas week. Of course they are being disputed and Shanny said he is getting better now. I for one just want it end. I am hoping the regular season will end these discussions and performance on the field will matter more. Of course winning cures a lot of issues.

Enough drama! The Redskins are actually planning festivities this week for Dallas. I am ready for the season and tailgating to start. I am trying to keep my optimism under control but I feel the Redskins are an 8 - 8 team and possibly 10 - 6 with some GOOD luck! It is time to get ready Redskins nation!

Well first things first let me introduce myself.

I am Lee Rice for those of you that come to the tailgates I was the one frying(hence the name) last season. I am glad to be contributing to this great blog so here is my first one.

On the eve of Redskins Training Camp opening I am very excited for the return of football season. The new regime seems to be running a better ship than the Vinny-Zorn circus and we have some bright spots to think about. Hey even Fatty Albert seems to be trimmer and ready to contribute. Unlike in past seasons I think the effort and physical play in the preseason will be very telling about the heart and direction of this team. No one on this roster has earned the right to mail it in this preseason. The idea of turning it on successfully in the regular season is not an option in my opinion. I am ready for the season and look forward to August 13th to see the new look and feel of this team. As well as seeing the new screens at FedEx.

I've been sticking up for Albert Haynesworth all off-season. I've called into numerous local radio shows defending the guy and I've also debated my fellow Redskin fans on various message boards. My argument on Haynesworth's behalf was that Sean Taylor, God rest his soul, didn't go to OTAs. He didn't even return Coach Gibbs' phone calls during the off-season but he always performed when it mattered. Shawn Springs would work out in Arizona during the Summer and always come to camp in phenomenal shape. Why can't Albert work out with his former trainer? Why can't he work out with the 1 person responsible for getting him into such great shape while he played for Tennessee? Haynesworth explained,

"to get me back to where I want to be, I need the serious training, I need the stuff that got me where I'm at."

Lets be real the work outs he was missing were "Voluntary". Who voluntarily goes to work during their vacation? I know I don't.

I gave Albert the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait and pass judgement on him once the Workouts were "Mandatory". Well that time is now and Albert Haynesworthless requested a trade the night before he was scheduled for a 6am physical at Redskins Park. No one likes waking up early but if I was being paid 100 Million dollars I'd get up at 2am and show up to work wearing a dress if my boss asked me to.

Everyone is saying that the Redskins either need to trade Albert or cut him but why? There is no way the Redskins will get any value for him in a trade or else that would've happened already. If they cut Albert then he basically gets to have his cake and eat it too. I think its time to put old Fat Albert on a diet. Don't give him a trade. Don't cut him. Fine him the maximum amount you can every single day that POS doesn't show up. If he does eventually show up to Training Camp then make his life a living HELL. Put him on Special Teams and make him run wind sprints till he pukes. He signed a contract and he needs to be held accountable for it.

I'm sick and tired of these Millionaire Divas signing long term contracts and then requesting a restructure Two years into the deal. The only way Dan Snyder should let that thief out of his contract is if he returns the money he stole.

If football doesn't work out for Albert he could always become a magician. He single handily over night made all Redskins fans hate him more then they hate Dan Snyder.

I haven't bothered to watch ESPN since they completely mishandled their coverage of Sean Taylor's death. As far as I'm concerned, Comcast Sportsnet is the "World Wide Leader in Sports" and they might as well rename ESPN to CYLN, Cowboys Yankees Lebron Network.

This morning I was hoping to catch the highlights of the Blackhawks beat down of the Flyers on Comcast but I missed it and it was 9:00am and time for an infomercial. I had no choice but to turn to Sports Center to watch the highlights. I turned the game off at 5-3 Hawks and I wanted to see how they got to 7 goals. I'm not a Blackhawks fan I just really hate all things Philly! I hate Philly so much that I put mustard on my bagel instead of cream cheese every morning. I had a feeling that the top story would be the Lakers/Celtics Game 2 and shocker I was right. I refuse to watch the NBA Finals until game 6 or 7 because everyone knows that the NBA is as crooked as a dog's hind leg. I was hoping the next story would be the Blackhawks vs Flyers game but I was wrong. Apparently Tony Romo qualifying for the US Open is a bigger story then Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals!

I understand that Football is god and hockey is maybe 3rd or even 4th on most peoples sport rankings but ... Are you F!ng serius?

I LOVE football but Tony Romo trying to save Par has nothing to do with FOOTBALL! The only time I ever want to hear Tony Romo's name during the off-season is A: when he unsuccessfully commits suicide or B: when his sex change operation is complete. Who the hell is in charge of producing this show? Does Jerry Jones give Chris Berman a handjob every morning to ensure sure that the Cowgirls are mentioned at least once in each broadcast? I willing to bet that Wade Phillips gives Alexi Lalas a reach around to make sure that the Cowboys are mentioned Saturday during the England vs USA World Cup. ESPN, do us all a favor and swallow first then broadcast the real sports stories.

Hello Everyone

I'm BACK!

I've finally been cleared by my Therapist to Talk/Blog about the Redskins again. After a couple months of shock therapy and lots of Prozac, I've come to the realization that last year's 4-12 record was in fact NOT a nightmare and it actually DID happen. Dr. New Castle and I have decided that I should compartmentalize the Zorn Era and treat it like when my gf dragged me to go see Leap Year. I love the Redskins but I will never talk about the past 2 seasons EVER again or that GOD awful movie that I was forced to watch.

There are countless topics that I've wanted to write about over the past 6 months but I didn't know where to begin, until now. You all know this Blog's affinity for Hating the Dallas Cowboys and all things Dallas, Texas so I figured I'd share an article with you that my favorite radio show discussed this past week.

Condomania, a world leader in condom sales and development, has just ranked 50 states and 20 major cities by average penis size. Why does this matter and what does this have to do with the Cowboys? Well according to the study, Dallas/Ft. Worth was the Lowest Ranking City by average penis size. Cheddar Bob Burress Pleads Guilty

Plaxico Burress just pleaded guilty to felony weapon charges and will serve a two year prison sentence. Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh at a Manhattan night club back on November 28, 2008. The gun was in his waistband w/o a holster and it had apparently slipped down his leg. The glock inadvertently went off when he accidentally depressed the trigger. Mr. Burress turned himself into Police the following Monday where he was charged with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

This weekend the Redskins Media Relations department banned all tweeting, blogging and updating of any kind from the Training Camp fields. The only tweets or updates that will be allowed are from ESPN 980 and the Redskins Blog. Is it a coincidence that Snyder owns both of those media outlets? I think not. Reporters are allowed to report from the media room or the parking lot at the top of the hill but not from the field itself. Why Dan? Why?

This isn't Nazi Germany during WWII. I used to love SportsTalk 980 until Snyder bought it. I couldn't stand that the only sports radio I could listen to about my team was from a radio station that was owned by my team. I religiously listened to The Sports Reporters on my way home from work every day. Steve Czaban and Andy Pollin claimed they would still be unbiased and still "tell it like it is" but I beg to differ. As soon as Brian Mitchell was let go by 980, I stopped listening to anything that station had to say. Bmitch was the only one that had his own opinion on the Red Zebra Radio air waves and shocker he was fired.

I'm a long time 106.7 WJFK listener and I was really upset when they switched formats to sports talk. The Big O and Dukes Show was quite arguably the best radio show EVER and Mike O'meara is and forever will be a radio icon. I am however glad they switched formats because they can compete with 980 and offer an unbiased perspective. It's honestly a breath of fresh air from the slanted propaganda that the Redskins try and shove down our throats on a daily basis. Snyder even tried to buy 106.7 once he heard they were switching formats but thank God he wasn't successful in his attempt.

Napolean, I understand it's a business but why must you filter all of the news that is reported on your team. The truth will come out eventually. Just let the accredited reporters that you gave media passes to report the TRUTH. Stop hiding things from the people that cheer for your team. Contrary to popular belief Redskins fans are not mindless lemmings that will do and believe whatever you say.

I'm following Momma Tryons example and I'm writing you this letter hoping that you can talk some sense into your son Greg and have him cut Justin Tryon. The experimenet is over. The 6 weeks of offseason training with Darrell Green were a huge waste of time. Tryon has already besmirched Darrell Green's name and now he's making Shane Falco look like Peyton Manning.

Please tell Coach Blache to stop putting him on the field. I'm really worried that the ACLU will start protesting Redskins Park for the abuse Justin has to endure on a weekly basis. I'm not sure if you watched the game last night. Heck I hope you didn't watch the game last night. I'm not sure if your heart could take it. In case you didn't, Justin was burned at least 7 times by a couple of WRs that will be bagging your groceries at Safeway in a couple of weeks. While we're at it can you also tell Greggy that Renaldo Wynn is 35 years old.

I would personally like to thank Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles for announcing their signing last night in the middle of the Redskins vs Ravens debacle. Vick signed a 1 year $1.6 million dollar contract with an Eagles option to retain him in 2010 for $5.2 million.

I can't wait till week 7 when Brian Orakpwns Vick on Monday Night Football.

I know it's been a while since I've posted or written anything on the Skins but I'm back baby. After last years 2-6 end to the regular season, my friends thought it was best to institutionalize me and take away my shoe strings. My mom wrote an email and asked them to let me out of my padded cell. I've been deemed mentally stable and I'm finally ready for some FOOTBALL.

If you've read any of my previous posts you know my disdain for CB Justin Tryon. Tuesday's Washington Post had an interesting article on Justin training with Hall of Fame CB Darrell Green for 6 weeks this offseason. Apparently Justin's Mommy emailed Darrell after last years HOF game asking him to mentor her son. Even she realized he was garbage back then and she was hoping that arguably the best Cornerback in NFL history could help Justin get better. The boy hadn't even been in the league for a full week before his own mother decided to contact the Make-A-Wish foundation to save her son's NFL career. After 8 months of the email sitting in his inbox, Darrell finally responded to Mommy Tryon and train her baby boy Justin. If Darrell Green can't turn the former Arizona State track star into a NFL CB then no one can.

While Justin was being Darrell's shadow the Redskins decided to waste another draft pick on a CB for the 2nd year in a row. Vinny "Yes Man" Cerrato decided to draft UMD CB Kevin Barnes instead of a much needed offensive lineman. Now we have 1 red shirt rookie and 1 true rookie fighting for the same roster spot. I'm just wondering how long it will take Mommy Barnes to email Darrell Green and mentor her son.

The first preseason game is finally upon us and everyone is looking forward to seeing Colt Brennan vs Chase Daniels and Todd Collins. Are Devin and Malcolm actually going to step on the field? Will Fred Davis be awake in time to catch the bus to Baltimore? I'm personally looking forward to see if Darrell Green wasted 6 weeks of his life training 5'9 Justin Tryon to be an actual NFL cornerback. The day Justin was drafted he said he was going to unseat Carlos Rogers or Shawn Springs as a starter. Darrell apparently now agrees with Justin and thinks he is, "qualified to be a starter in the National Football League start in this league." If anyone actually believes that Tryon is better then Carlos Rogers or DeAngelo Hall they better hurry up and get to Best Buy to pick up their $9.99 52-inch Samsung TV.

Is it football season yet? Everyone has been pining for some kind of Redskin related news to tide us over till training camp starts but I guess my mother was right when she told me to

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!!

Earlier this summer the Redskins granted our wish by sending out a private PDF to various Premium Suite ticket holders only. The PDF had a map of the new parking lot redesign and it also listed a "NEW TAILGATING POLICY".

The PDF was passed around the Internet and hysteria immediately ensued. Various Redskin message boards were being flooded with posts wondering if the rumors were true. The Blog world exploded posting story after story after story about what will forever be known as Tailgate-Gate. The Washington Post even felt it was print worthy and they commissioned Dan Steinberg to write an article about the changes.

Fearful that the rumors world grow much like the Jim Fassel debacle of 08 did. The Redskins decided to quickly devise and publish a Press Release to quell the storm. The release tried to place such a positive spin that even Bill O'Reilly would have been proud of. The team loved it's fans and tailgating so much they hired a consulting firm to advise them on how to improve the overall game day experience (How about putting a winning team on the field).

The Skins were going to let Tailgaters have more room to setup and be out of everyones way. They tried to pretend that they were doing fans a favor by opening a new Gray lot but neglected to mention anything about the loss of the Blue lot and the reduction in size of the Red lot.

The statement also failed to mention the fact that all Cash lots will be operated solely by private companies who can charge whatever their heart desires. I wouldn't be surprised if the price to park in a cash lot is higher for a Cowboy game vs. a Saints game.

The real Coup De Grâce of the new rules is that parking attendants will be,

"Directing fans who wish to tailgate in more than one space to the back of lots...Fans who wish to only park, or tailgate within their single parking spot, will be directed to the front of lots, filling the lot from front to back."
After reading the poorly written statement fans immediately had more question and concerns.

Am I going to be directed to a general are where I can park next to my friends or will the guy with the Orange flag make me park in a particular spot?

I've parked in the same spot since the stadium opened and I tailgate on a grass island. Do I still have to go to the back of the lot with the other tailgaters?

What if my wife gets stuck in traffic? Does that mean she can't park beside me when she gets there?
Why don't they just enforce the old policy of one vehicle one spot? Why come up with a new one 10 years later?

Some fans even started an online petition to try and "Save Tailgating". The petition had a simple and straight to the point request.

"Individuals should be allowed to park anywhere in the lot they desire as long as they have the appropriate Parking Pass. Individuals that are occupying more than one space will be asked to move. If they do not comply they risk losing their Parking Pass for the Season."

Numerous tailgate websites that had nothing to do with the DC area or the Redskins picked up the story and asked people to sign the petition (Tailgating Ideas , Tailgate Lot). Local radio stations (The Big O and Dukes Show, The Junkies and The Sports Reporters) were flooded with calls from irate and happy listeners that wanted to voice their opinion about the new policy.

One renowned Redskin tailgater even decided to write an article that was posted on the highly popular Washington Post DC Sports Bog. The article listed various reasons why Redskin Tailgaters were still worried and it asked Dan Snyder to,

"not tear apart my Redskins family that I cried with in 2007 during the Buffalo Bills tailgate, after Sean Taylor passed away. Let us park next to our friends and family as long as we all have the appropriate color parking passes and are not taking up more than one space..."

Well Redskin fans I have some good news and some bad news. After being in limbo for a couple weeks, we finally have some unofficial/official answers to everyone's questions.

FdaCowboys was able to contact some Redskin officials and clear up the parking/tailgating rules for the upcoming 2009 season.

The Redskins Parking Staff define "Tailgating" as taking up more then one space or driving area with a grill or a canopy. If you are impeding people from parking or passing through you are "Tailgating." If you have a small little hibachi grill behind your car or are eating a bucket of chicken out of the trunk then you are "Not Tailgating"

Fedex field will have signs once you enter the lots that direct Non-Tailgaters to the front of the lot where parking attendants will direct you into individual spots that you MUST park in. If you are in a row of cars and you are car 5 in line and your buddy is car 25 in line then he will be directed to a spot that is 25 spaces away from you. You CANNOT save spaces for friends and family in the front of the lot. The lots will be filled from the front to the back.

Tailgaters will be allowed to park free reign in the rear of the lots. They can spill into extra spaces to set up their grills, tables, canopies and chairs. Once the parking staff has reached the rear area of the lot, they must move out of the extra spaces they are occupying and allow the attendents to direct cars into those spots.

The good news is that the Redskins are not directing everyone where to go. If you are part of a large tailgate you can still park together in the back of the lots. If you don't tailgate and just head straight into the stadium then you should be able to find a parking spot easier towards the front of the lot. The first couple of games are going to be a mess. I advise everyone to get there early so they don't miss kickoff or any valuable tailgating time while the staff irons out the kinks. The December 7th game vs the Rats with Wings has been moved to prime time. The game was originally scheduled for a 1:00 pm kickoff but NBC has requested that the Patriots vs Seahawks game be switched for the Redskins vs Ravens. Can you blame them?

I don't know how to feel about the schedule move. Our team doesn't seem to play well in the dark. I don't know if it's because when it's dark outside the O-line would rather Pop bottles instead of popping LBs but we are 0-3 so far in prime time. The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the NFL and Shane Falco hasn't looked like a rookie QB at all. Regardless of the time change I have no doubt that the guys will be ready to play in the Beltway Bowl. I just hope I don't get stabbed by a Raven player or a Ravens fan wearing Zumba Pants.

Bama Cowboy Fans

It's that time of year again when all of these Trash Talking Bama A$$ Cowboy fans come out the woodwork and try to ruin a perfectly good Sunday at Fedex Field. I'm so sick and tired of these morons that have never even been to Dallas.

We recently had an NFL day at my job and everyone was allowed to wear various jerseys to work. I figured I would use this day as a Sociology experiment and see if all the people I can't stand at work are Cowboy fans or are they just your run of the mill asshole. I decided to wear my authentic Sean Taylor Jersey that Coach Gibbs signed for me to the event and immediately as I walked through the door to my office I saw someone that I thought was a friend wearing a Dallas star on their belt. I proceeded to walk right past them without saying anything and made a mental note not to EVER trust them again. As the day progressed, I ran into 6 more Cowboy fans all wearing some sort of Broke Back Blue paraphernalia. I only knew 3 of them by name but I had passed all of them in the halls before and got a bad vibe from each of them. I just had no idea that the vibe I was a getting was my gut warning me that their was a closet Tony Homo fan in my midst. Approximately 30 people in my office wore their teams colors that day and only of them were 7 Cowboy fans. Either the rest of the Dallas faithful got to scared to wear their colors or they're to broke to buy a jersey because they've spent all of their money on their crack habit.

After the experiment was all said and done I learned 2 things.

Don't ever trust anyone fully until you find out their NFL allegiance
If you have an odd gut feeling about someone you just met odds are they are a Bitch A$$ Cowgirl Fan that's still in the closet.

I despise these people and some of you might say I'm being melodramatic but they are the enemy and always will be. If you see a Cowboy Fan tomorrow at Fedex Field say a prayer for them so that God may have mercy on their misguided soul.

An Injustice

It's been a couple of days since I've posted on here and I know it's Dallas week but to be honest with everyone I'm a very mad at the Redskins Organization right now. Those of you that know me know that I am friends with various players on the team and that I've gotten to know some of the guys pretty well. I almost wish I didn't know what I do when it comes to the behind the scenes aspects of Professional Football. It's both a blessing and a curse.

Everyone knows that DeAngelo Hall is the newest member of the team and that he recently signed during the bye week for peanuts. Hall will be receiving roughly $500,000 plus bonuses for 7 games of work. You can't get that kind of talent for that amount of money anywhere.

I was just as happy as everyone else when I heard the news that we acquired Hall. It's a long year and depth is key if we are going to make a run in the second half of the season. Springs hasn't been healthy since the Cowgirl game and who knows when Smoot aka Batman will knock himself out for a couple of plays. Hall is a two time Pro Bowl Corner that can make an immediate impact to this already Star-Studded Secondary.

The only "Backbreaker" about signing Hall is who are we going to cut to make room on the 53 man roster.

We could put Malcolm "No Show" Kelley on IR and finally stop playing the guessing game as to whether he will ever touch the field this year.

We could cut Shaun "Over the Hill" Alexander. We all knows he's going to be released once Ladell is healthy anyway so why not just do it now?

We could cut Justin Tryon the 5'9 mistake from Arizona State. Tryon is garbage and I don't know how he's still on the roster. I can only assume he has naked pictures of Vinny Cerrato performing unmentionable sexual acts on Dan Snyder.

What did the Redskins do?

The Redskins cut Leigh Torrence. Leigh had been with the Organization since 2006 and he played an integral role in last years Playoff run after Carlos Rogers suffered a season ending knee injury against the Patriots. Torrence had become a stand out on Special-Teams and an impressive slot corner. Various NFL personnel executives have praised Torrence for his intelligence, positive attitude and ability to learn. Various teammates cried and asked, "Why would they let Leigh go?"

Football aside Torrence was becoming an active member in the local community getting people registered to vote for the Presidential Election and working with various local charities to raise money for their just causes. Positive Role Models like Torrence don't come around often in today's world. The fact that this Organization let this young man go is AN OUTRIGHT INJUSTICE!

To lose a player like Torrence because the Redskins "Executive Vice President of Football Operations" is to smug to admit he made a mistake in the draft is inexcusable!

I understand football is a business and in this business you put the best players on the field to help you win but there is no way in the world ANYONE can say Tryon is a better CB then Torrence. Torrence cleared waivers Monday evening and has been picked up by the New Orlean Saints where he will replace injured CB Mike Mckenzie. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and at first I didn't understand why Leigh was let go but I do now. Leigh was ultimately cut so he could make a bigger impact on a team and a town that needs him. He will get a chance to prove those NFL personnel executives right and silence all of the doubters out there. I can only hope and pray that the Saints organization realize what kind of a player they just stumbled upon.

It's the night before one of the biggest games at Fedex Field and I know I'm not going to get any sleep at all. Tomorrow the Redskins #2 rushing attack will face the Steelers #1 Defense. This week we find out what this team is truly made of.
Will Portis and the Dirtbags rise to the occasion? Or will the Steel Curtain Defense of Pittsburgh put a stop to Portis' 5 game streak of 120+ yards or more a game. If I was a betting man I would go with option number one but the one thing I never gamble on is my Skins.

All week long I've been quietly listening to various Steelers fans spout of statistics about how good their team is on Monday night.

Idiot #1, "We've won 18 games in a row on Monday Night." Idiot #2, "On paper the Steelers are hands down better then the Skins." Idiot #3, "Fast Willie is back you guys better watch out."

The idiotic rants go on and on. Each time I heard a meaningless stat or an asinine comment I cried a little inside for these vagabond fans.

Why is it that so many Steeler fans leave their awesome team and town behind for parts unknown?

I'll tell you why. It's because they realized that their franchise got lucky being in one the of crappiest divisions in football and they wanted to move away and see how a real team plays. If the Redskins got to play the Ravens, Browns and Bengals twice a year we would have over 18 Division Championships and 24 playoff berths in our team history also but we don't.

The Redskins are arguably in the toughest division of the NFL. The Giants are 7-1. The Eagles are 5-3 and the Cowboys... well lets keep them out of this.

Big Ben has played horribly against the NFC East this year throwing only 1 TD so far. He has a cumulative QB rating of 44.5 in his 2 games vs the Giants and the Eagles and he's thrown 5 INTs. Roethlisberger has been sacked 23 times so far this season and he's practically falling apart at the seams.

If the Skins are going to win this game tomorrow night they need to clock Ben repeatedly (I know I'm corny). The Steelers have 3 new offensive lineman protecting him and if there was ever a game for Andre Carter and Demetric Evans to wreak some havoc it will be tomorrow night. If the Redskins want to take the leap from a Good Team to a Great Team they can do it center stage on National Television Monday night.

I don't know about you but I'm ready for some FOOTBALL.

The last time the Redskins played the Lions, Detroit was obliterated by 31 points. Mike Sellers trucked over Kenoy Kennedy and Jason Campbell finished the game 23/29 with 248 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The last time the Redskins faced a win less opponent they lost to the Rams 19-17. The Offense turned the ball over 3 times and Pete Kendall made one of the dumbest moves of his NFL career.

History often has a habit of repeating itself but which history will it be.

Will another lackluster team regain its shine by getting its first victory against us?

Shawn Springs apparently tweaked his calf yesterday late in practice and Smoot is listed as Doubtful for this weekends game against the Browns. Safety Reed Doughty has been placed on IR and Chris Horton missed practice with an ankle injury. If Springs and Smoot both can't play this weekend that means Leigh Torrence and Justin Tryon will see a significant amount of playing time on Sunday.

I know Leigh will be ready for this weekends game. Those of you that think last weeks loss to the Rams was Torrence's fault need to go jump off a cliff into a lake full of Piranhas. Leigh had perfect coverage on the WR but the ball was under thrown and the WR made a spectacular adjustment and catch. I GUARANTEE Leigh will be ready when his number is called but I have no faith in Justin. I'm still wondering how he made the final 53 man roster. Does he have naked pictures of Vinny Cerrato stashed some where? Did he kidnap Dan Snyder's dog and hold him hostage for a roster spot? Is he secretly Greg Blache's illegitimate child?

If the Redskins have to rely on Tryon as their Nickle Corner this weekend Heaven help us. If we can't get a decent pass rush on Derek Anderson this Sunday then Tryon will get eaten up alive out there. The D Line needs to step up to the plate and throw Derek Anderson around like a rag doll.

If anyone knows a Witch Doctor that can miraculously fix Smoot's Groin and Springs Calf please call them up ASAP. If we have to rely on this former track star turned DB it's going to be a long Sunday afternoon.

Good but not Great

All last week the Media kept hyping up the fact that the Redskins were the only team in the NFL to not have an Offensive Turnover this year. Every sports show and news article last week couldn't help but mention the fact that Jason Campbell hasn't thrown an interception yet (he still hasn't). Various Prognosticators were ranking the Redskins among the top 3 of the NFL Super Powers. I was getting text messages, while I was in Philly for the Eagles game, asking if I could get people tickets to Tampa Bay for the Super Bowl. People were talking about us possibly being 7-1 heading into the Bye week.

WOULD EVERYONE PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP!

Yes, we won 4 games in a row. Yes, we beat the Cowgirls and the Eagles on the road but lets be realistic here. We haven't blown anyone out and if you take away a lucky tip here or a missed 4th down there we could be 0-5. The fact that we were 13+ point favortites against the Rams was Ludacris. Mike Wise wrote an awesome article on Monday discussing how close we've been to failure in each of our wins this season. If you haven't checked it out please do. It puts this whole 4 game win streak into perspective.

The Redskins seem to play down or up to their opponents potential. Great teams don't do that. The Redskins are a good team but we're not great YET. Clinton hit the nail right on the head when he said,

"We've been the underdogs since I've been here. And we came out with fight every game we was the underdog. Win, lose or draw, we came out to fight. So for us to expect St. Louis not to come out and fight, I don't know how we let them shock us like that."

I love this team almost to a fault at times. I've been to every game so far this year. I was just as excited as everyone else about our 4-1 start but I'm also realistic. I have watched this team for to many years to assume that we would beat the Hapless Rams, Steam Roll over the Doo Doo Browns and Demoralize the Detroit Lions.

We're the favorite team again for the second week in a row and we're going to be the favorite next weekend against the Lions in Detriot but can this team win when it's supposed to?

Can they make that step from Good to Great?

I sure as hell hope so but only time will tell

Why I have no idea?

Did Zorn forget that Rock Cartwright is still on the roster?

Why would we waste money on an old washed up RB that hasn't done anything in a couple of years?

Did we sign him just so the Cowboys wouldn't pick him up now that they lost Feliz Jones?

If we needed a RB that bad then why not sign Marcus Mason away from the Ravens practice squad. Mason would have been cheaper and he showed potential during the Preseason.

This smells like another TJ Duckett deal and we all remember how that one worked out.

Redskins to sign Safety Michael Green

The Redskins are apparently preparing to sign Safety Michael Green to provide depth in the Secondary. Green played for Greg Blache in Chicago and he spent the past 2 years in Seattle.

I made it back from Philly Sunday night with no cuts, bruises or black eyes. We arrived at the stadium around 10:30 am and proceeded to drink by the car for the next 2 hours and not one Eagles fan said anything to us. I was wearing my Landry 70th Anniversary Authentic Jersey so there was no doubt that people knew I was a Redskins fan.

Eagles fans are all talk. Whoever gave them the reputation of being mean, nasty and violent needs to reassess their statement.

Lincoln Financial Field should be officially renamed Fedex North. Jason Campbell is now 2-0 in Philly and the Redskins are 3-1 in Philly over the last 4 trips.

The best part of being at the game was some where around the 7 minute mark in the 4th quarter when all of the pissed off Eagles fans started to yell for Andy Reid's fat head and I can't even begin to count the amount of racial slurs that were screamed out onto the field about McNabb. Let's just say Rush Limbaugh would have had a smile on his face if he heard what I did.

I've been lucky enough to go to 6 Road Wins and nothing compares to being there when your team crushes all of their fans hopes and dreams. I will be back in Philly next year and I invite all of you to come with me so you can find out for yourself how full of $h!t Eagles fans really are.

It's Eagles week and FdaCowboys will be at Lincoln Financial Field representing the Burgundy and Gold this Sunday. I went to the Monday night game last year in my Redskins Gear and I didn't have a problem at all. The only thing that got on my nerves when I was up there were all of the Skins fans walking up to me saying, "You're crazy for wearing your jersey up here." I can't even count the number of Skins Fans that had their Redskin T-Shirt hidden under their jackets. I understand that Philly fans are notorious for booing Santa Claus and cheering when Michael Irvin's lifeless body was lying on the field of the Vet. I know they poured beer on Mama Portis in 2005 and they have a jail inside the stadium but so what. When people tell me these stories to try and warn me the only thing I think about is free beer and making an Eagles fan Bleed. It sounds like a Win - Win situation if I've ever heard one.

No One will ever intimidate me enough to hide my teams colors.

Eagles fans are Rowdy, Rude, Obnoxious and Ignorant but it's not all their fault. These Bamas grew up all their lives walking past a statue of Rocky thinking he was a real peson. Imagine how you felt when you found out that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy weren't real. I remember I found out when I was 6 and I was a little angry but I eventually got over it. Well Eagles fans haven't gotten over it and they try and take their aggression out on opposing teams fans. They are just little children throwing temper tantrums because they found out their Hero is the same guy from Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.

Don't let these sad, bitter misguided people intimidate you. Wear your colors proud and Represent the Burgundy and Gold where ever you go.

I'm finally leaving the land of steers and queers. I can't wait to get out of this miserable town. The only good thing about getting stuck in Dallas for this long was getting to see the local coverage rip TO and Jason Garrett a new one. I tried to send Jason Garrett a gift basket for not calling any run plays but he's apparently not listed.

Jason, if you read this THANK YOU for being an idiot and not handing the ball to Marion the Barbarian. Even if he would have gotten the ball he wouldn't have run against us anyway (see last years game stats) but it's nice to see your team implode and know that the Redskins are the ones that started it all.

I stayed up till 2 am Sunday night celebrating at a local bar with my Laron Landry jersey on watching all of the local news casters call TO a cry baby and a cancer. They were pleading for Jerry Jones to step in and save Tony Romo's psyche. Their precious QB apparently can't manage his own team and Pre-Madonna WR so big daddy Jerry needs to step and make sure the boys play nice again.

I hate to break it to TO but this is Romo's, Barber's and Witten's team. They were so focused on throwing the ball to you 18 times that they forgot who their real weapons were, once again thanks Jason Garrett. We're starting to board so my next post will be from VA. There's No Place Like Home

I've been in Dallas for 24 hours now and I can't stand this place. I want to come back to DC now and I'm stuck here in Broke Back Hell till Wednesday. The people out here are idiots and I can see why everything is bigger in Texas. All these Bamas do is stuff their faces full of fried food and drink PBR.
I can't imagine why someone would want to live out here.

If I were to die and end up in Hell I think Dallas would be an exact duplicate of it. Everywhere I go it's Broke Back Blue and Silver. Last night I was at a local bar that had a Miller Lite sign that read," Great Beer, Great Team" I wanted to Puke when I saw it. I ended up sitting under the sign just so I could turn it off when no one was looking. The Bartenders apparently didn't think it was funny but they're just lucky I didn't rip it off the wall and smash it over their heads.

I've never missed home so much in my life but I know it'll be worth it Sunday afternoon when We Whoop On these Dallas Bamas.

It's that time of year again when all of these Bama @$$ Cowboy fans that have never even been to Dallas talk sh!t. I've received text messages all week long saying, "Redskins Suck. 'You're going to get your ass beat.' 'Romo is going to crush the Dead Skins."

The real kicker was a voice mail I got from an acquaintance saying, " Dallas gets No Respect. We're going to demolish you guys"

Was this retard serious?

Pasta Belly, The Swami, John Madden, Sports Illustrated ...all of these "Experts" won't get off Jerry Jones jock. ESPN and every other media outlet (except Comcast Sportsnet) are basically crowing the Cowboys Superbowl Champs and it's only week 4.

"This is Dallas' year." "They are going all the way."

"Romo and TO can't be stopped"

I understand these media outlets get paid to write stories and these over rated Broadcasters have to produce ratings but be some what objective and show the other side of the coin.

Respect is something that is earned not given.

Dallas hasn't earned Jack $h!t.

They haven't won a playoff game in 13 years.

Their QB can't even hold onto a snap for Pete's sake.

Their Cry Baby WR tried to kill himself because his team sucked so bad.

I have a hypothesis as to why there are so many Cowboy fans in DC.

I was at this past weekends Cardinals game and there was this woman wearing a Romo Jersey and all I could say to her was "WHY?"

Jason Taylor, was apparently kicked in the calf yesterday by a yet to be named Arizona Cardinals player. Later on that evening blood began to build up in Taylor leg and he went to this hospital this morning to get it checked out. The Dr's performed a procedure on Taylor to drain the blood and relieve the pressure. He has been ruled out for this weeks Cowgirl game and his status is uncertain for the Eagles game the following week.

Stephon Heyer apparently injuried his shoulder and is questionable for this weeks game. Jansen will take Heyers place if he can't go.

Clinton does a weekly interview on the John Thompson show on Sportstalk 980 every Tuesday afternoon. Today's show was definitely an instant classic.

Clinton started the interview off by saying, " We got some haters, and there's one on this show. He's so caught up in whatever I do and being negative about it. Man, I really want to know what's going on....There's a man on your show who can't keep my name out of his mouth, it's always the negativity."....

Brian Mitchell, Coach Thompson's co-host, has a reputation of telling it like it is and apparently last weeks comments were the "straw that broke the camels back". B-Mitch's comments had apparently been eating away at Clinton for quite some time and today Clinton decided to let all of his anger and frustration out live on the air.

I love Brian Mitchell and he will always be a Redskin to me. I was upset when they gave Landry #30. I believe that 30 should be one of the unofficial retired numbers like 9 , 28, 49... It's B-Mitch's job as an analyst to call it like he sees it. He's not in the business to make friends. Clinton needs to grow some thicker skin because if what B-Mitch said really bothers him then he better not read what some people on Extreme Skins are saying about him.

I love football don't get me wrong but I refuse to watch tonight's Monday Night football game. I hate Dallas. I despise everything that has to do with that team and city. I refuse to contribute to their TV ratings. I was praying that Hurricane Ike would bypass Houston and wipe Dallas off the map.

If anyone were to ask me who do I hate 2nd it would be the Eagles hands down. The Eagles have never won a Superbowl and hopefully never will in my lifetime. I honestly feel bad for people that live in Philly. I'll never forget a couple years ago on Monday night when they actually introduced Sylvester Stallone before a game to get the crowd excited. It's really a sad site when your citys only sports icon is a make believe character in a movie. Their team is so bad Andy Reid's sons had to sell drugs to Eagles fans just to ease the pain of watching them lose every week.

I would rather watch paint dry then this game. I would rather sit on a toilet constipated for 4 hours then watch Tony Homo vs Donovan "affirmative action" McNabb. I know this isn't politically correct and you never want to wish ill of another team but I am hoping the stadium blows up or that Texas Stadium gets swallowed up by some massive earth quake and both teams and all of their fans disappear.

If you were to hold a gun to my head and make me pick a winner I would tell you to pull the trigger.

"Little" Cooley ends up on the Internet

I know I'm late to the party with this but I didn't really want to report it. I was kind of hoping it would die down and that most people wouldn't hear about "Penis Gate". I was wrong

I'm sure most of you know that Chris Cooley has his own Blog. If you haven't had a chance to check it out you should. He posts some real good skinny on there about the team and about his life in general.

Last Saturday night Captain Chaos decided to Blog about the Quiz Jim Zorn makes all the players take concerning the opposing teams defense and what the game plan is for the week. In the Blog, Cooley took a picture of a page of the Quiz and he also inadvertently took a picture of "Little" Cooley at the same time. Chris was apparently lying around his hotel room naked while he was taking his quiz. Why? I don't want to know.

"Antwaan Randle El is not a Schmuck"

I know a win is a win is a win but the one glaring thing that I can't get out of my mind is how Randle El almost lost us the game. The Defense had stopped the Saints "High Powered Offense" for pretty much the entire first half but because of a fumbled punt by Randle El we were losing 10 - 9 going into the half. Later in the game, Randle El fielded a punt at the 10 yard line and juked himself out of his own shoes. He side stepped to his left and then collapsed into a fetal position. Let's be honest here we need a new punt returner. We need someone back there that runs North - South not East - West.

During Zorn's press conference today he was asked about using someone else to return punts. Zorn replied by saying, "Antwaan is not a schmuck when it comes to punt returns. I'm not down on him at all. We just need to get more production there. We've got Santana if we need to make a change there. We're going to talk about the situation. You'll see them both continue to work as we go along."

No ones calling Antwaan a "Schmuck" he just sucks at returning punts. Zorn may "not be down on him" but the rest of us are. We need someone back there that has the desire and the hunger to run that thing back. I don't think El has that anymore. A Punt Returner has to go out there with reckless abandon. He has to not care about getting hurt or taking a ruthless hit. Antwaan may have had that earlier in his career with the Steelers but I think he's lost it. I don't know if becoming our defacto #2 receiver has anything to do with that but regardless the reason something needs to change ASAP. I'm not saying Rock is the answer or if James thrash should go back there but the one thing I do know is that Randle El shouldn't be back there anymore.

In Zorn We Trust?

I've been avoiding talking about last weeks Giants game pretending it didn't happen.

I've blocked out the fact that the Skins were embarrassed on National Television.

I'm ignoring the fact that Zorn didn't have the team in a hurry up offense being down by 2 scores with only 6 minutes left in the game.

I'm going to assume that Zorn can add and he understands that this isn't MTV Rock and Jock Football with the Special 50pt Touchdown in the last 2 minutes of the game.

I'm hoping that I heard wrong about when Zorn was asked earlier this week why he didn't use a No-Huddle Offense. If my sources are correct Zorn's answer to that question was apparently because he didn't want to give the ball back to the Giants after we score with to much time on the clock.

Zorn just got his cherry popped last Thursday at the expense of all Redskin fans and at the expense of the team. The whole world knew it was his coaching debut and his first time calling plays. If they didn't know from the pregame comments they knew from his actions on the sideline and the plays he had Campbell run.

I'm going to give the man that thought our team colors were Maroon and Black the benefit of the doubt.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

The Giants were 0-2 and still won the Superbowl last year.

Joe Gibbs was 0-5 in his 1st year coaching and he won 3 championships.

I can go on and on with stats and cliches about why last weeks game shouldn't matter so that's why I'm going to pretend it didn't happen. As far as I'm concerned, we only play a 15 game season.

I'm a Redskin Fan regardless of who the owner is and who the coach is. I will stick by this team through the good times and the bad (Spurrier years) but all I ask is don't make it embarrassing to be a Redskin fan. Play with some heart and with some Passion and go out there and knock someone on their a$$ this Sunday.

I still have faith in Jim Zorn. I still trust that he knows what he's doing. I believe he can turn this offense around and that Jason Campbell will eventually resemble Doug Williams, the man whose number he currently wears. The only other good thing I can say about Jim Zorn is at least he's not Jim Fassel

How to cure Carlos-itis

Fellow Blogger Dan Steinberg wrote a blog yesterday about Carlos Rogers's Hands and why he can't catch a pass to save his life or our season. In the article Rogers and Smoot are both questioned as to why they have horrible hands and coach Zorn interjected his opinion as to what Carlos needs to do to fix the problem. Below are Zorn's comments from Steinberg's Blog.

Zorn: "...I don't think the ball machine's necessarily the answer....For him, he hasn't connected the idea of making the play and getting great position with just putting his hands up. Some guys can do it more naturally, [Rogers] seems to be a guy that has to concentrate, and so he has to become comfortable with that. And I think QB's throwing him the ball with the kind of velocity they throw it will help, because that's the real issue right there is the ball's coming in fast. Even if a ball machine is throwing it, it's always one speed, it's always in the same spot, and that never happens in the game. So that's really what I'm looking for, is other guys throwing him the ball."

Apparently Carlos needs QB's to throw him the ball at different speeds so he can learn how to catch. Now I'm not a head coach but that makes no sense to me. If you see a ball coming at you regardless of the speed you are either going to catch it or not. If Brett Favre throws a ball to his receivers in practice and then Kellen Clemens throws the same receivers a pass they should be able to catch both of them regardless of the QB's arm strength and speed of the ball. The fact of the matter is Carlos is a DB for a reason and if he could catch he would be a WR.
